  • Two tablespoons of minced garlic
  • Two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • Six tablespoons of olive oil
  • Fourth teaspoon of salt
  • Fourth teaspoon of pepper
Instructions
  1. Salad Preparation:
  2. Step One: Soak the dried tomatoes in a cup of boiling water. Then chop up the red and yellow bell pepper, and cube the eggplant .
  3. Step Two: Put the red bell pepper, eggplant, and yellow bell pepper in a boll. Put the bowl in the oven for around 25 minutes or until the vegetables are lightly brown. Toss the vegetables from time to time to ensure they are equally cooked.

Hawaiian Macaroni Salad Recipe

This is a great traditional Hawaii dish and is commonly served at lunch time. This version is the best Hawaiian macaroni salad recipe I have tried so far.

Ingredients
  • One pound of elbow pasta
  • Two cups of whole milk
  • Two cups of mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper
  • Four scallions
  • One or two carrots
  • Two celery ribs
  • Half cup of cider vinegar
Instructions
  1. Salad Preparation:
  2. Step One: Over cook the elbow pasta till it is very soft. Over cooked pasta is used in this dish so that it allows the pasta to soak up the dressing.
  3. Step Two: After the pasta is finished cooking and drained, place it back into the pot and pour the vinegar on it. Stir it around to allow it to soak up the vinegar, drain and move it to a dish.
  4. Step Three: Grade the carrots, chop the celery up fine, and slice the scallions up thinly
  5. Step Four: Mix the vegetables and cooked pasta in the dish
  6. Dressing Preparation:
  7. Step One: Mix the milk, mayonnaise, sugar, table spoon of pepper, half a table spoon of salt all together in a dish.
  8. Final Preparation:
  9. Step One: Pour the dressing on the prepared salad and mix well.
  10. Step Two: allow the salad to cool in the refrigerator
  11. Serve chilled and enjoy =)

Broccoli Salad with Bacon

This is one of my favorite recipes and is very similar to the Applebees oriental Chicken Salad. The oriental chicken salad dressing, has an amazing flavor of both sweet and sour. This salad is great for any dinner party as it’s simple to make yet gives the appearance of being very time consuming, thus your friends will be thoroughly impressed with your dish.

Ingredients
  • Two chicken Breasts
  • Seven cups of romaine lettuce
  • Half cup of crispy Asian noodles
  • Two table spoons of shredded carrot
  • Half cup of almond slices
  • Two table spoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fourth of a cup of mayonnaise
  • four table spoons of rice wine vinegar
  • Two table spoons of sugar
  • Two table spoons of sesame seed oil
  • One table spoon of toasted sesame seed oil
  • One teaspoon of Dijon mustard
Instructions
  1. Salad Preparation:
  2. Step One: Grill the two chicken Breasts on a skillet with olive oil, lightly season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Step Two: After the chicken has finished cooking slice it up.
  4. Step Three: Toast the sliced almond on a skillet on medium low heat. Watch carefully as almond can get easily burned. Once the almonds start to smell they should be done cooking.
  5. Step Four: Get a bowl and mix the: lettuce, crispy Asian noodles, shredded carrot, almond slices,
  6. Dressing Preparation:
  7. Step One: Mix the mayonnaise, rice wine vinegar, sugar, sesame seed oil, toasted sesame seed oil, and mustard all together in a bowl.
  8. Final Preparation:
  9. Pour the salad dressing over the salad.
  10. Serve and enjoy =)

Broccoli salad with bacon is a really cool southern recipe, though I prefer mine without bacon in it, I’m leaving this recipe in it’s traditional form. If you are a vegetarian or simply don’t like bacon feel free to leave it out as even without bacon it makes a great salad.

  • Five cups of cut broccoli florets (fresh is better but frozen is fine too)
  • One red Onion
  • Ten slices of bacon (pre-cooked or uncooked)
  • Half cup of raisins
  • Two table spoons of balsamic vinegar
  • Two teaspoons of sugar
  • One cup of mayonnaise
  • Half of a red pepper
  • Half of a green pepper
Instructions
  1. Salad Preparation:
  2. Step One: Cook and crumble your bacon
  3. Step Two: Chop up your red onion up
  4. Step Three: Mix the red Crumbled bacon, Chopped red onion, raisins, and cut broccoli florets.
  5. Dressing Preparation:
  6. Step One: Mix the mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, and sugar
  7. Final Preparation:
  8. Step One: Pour the Dressing on top of the salad mixture.
  9. Step Two: allow the salad to cool in the refrigerator
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy =)
